Legacy at Fitz in Aurora, Colorado is a five-story 363-unit apartment community is Colorado’s first large-scale residential development to break ground under the newly created Opportunity Zone program.
Designed by architecture firm Davis Partnership, the community will feature a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments as well as 497 parking spots. Residential amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, yoga studio, making room, a fifth level observation deck, and two courtyards with a pool, outdoor kitchens, and fire pits.
Wells recently completed the parking phase of this project, a 497 stall, 4-story, precast concrete parking garage with more than 500 pieces of precast concrete. Our field crews sustained nearly a 13 pieces per day average for the duration of the project. These successful projects can be attributed to an entire team effort. Front Range Design Group Inc. drove this successful design and continues to provide premier consulting in our industry. Our plant team displayed rock solid production including the casting of columns as tall as 58’ feet!
In addition, the field crews displayed the safety, quality and professionalism that makes Wells the leader of sub-contractors on any jobsite. Virtually this entire project was erected with the additional constraints of COVID-19. The leadership in our construction managers on-site demonstrated the ability to adjust and continue to produce successful outcomes in the face of adversity.
