The new, 70,000 square foot West Fargo Public Schools Hockey Arena includes two competition ice rinks, locker rooms, a lobby, and support spaces. The Arena’s design features a modern mix design for the exterior that includes large windows and a sleek face to the two-story facility. The main sheet of ice that has precast concrete stadia seating for about 830 with a mezzanine and viewing areas that would allow for 1,100 or 1,200 spectators to see a hockey game. A second sheet of ice, or auxiliary rink, on the north side of the building will also have its own mezzanine seating for about 400.

In addition, the design incorporates a future expansion for a third ice rink for practice, as well as dryland training space The two rinks, which double the available rinks for skaters, will help with scheduling and allow for tournaments that were impossible before due to ice unavailability.

Wells Concrete provided 73 pieces of precast concrete stadia and 72 pieces of precast stairs for the project.
