QTS’s Denver 1 data center, which sits in a prime location on 65 acres, combines access to major fiber providers with the stability of a low-risk, centrally located site, and has 160 MW+ critical power capacity. With design development and construction advancing together, Wells stepped in as a collaborative partner, providing prefabricated systems to quickly enclose the secure and sensitive data center. Multiple Wells crews were used to ensure the project would be completed on schedule.
A defining attribute of the space is the north elevation exterior wall, featuring a 13 ft by 175 ft 3D cast-in rendering of the Rocky Mountains. Wells transformed a mountain view photograph into a 3-dimensional formliner that was then used to cast seven distinct prefabricated wall panels, bringing the mountain landscape to life. From concept to completion, Wells turned an ambitious vision into a result shaped by collaboration and proven expertise.
