Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Being named the Senior Vice President of Human Resources in 2023, Amy develops, implements, and maintains all programs associated with Human Resources. McGlothlen is passionate about engaging the workforce and attracting talent to support the continued growth of Wells. She leverages her over 20 years’ experience and Professional in HR (PHR) certification in the role.

Director of Technology Integration

Chris started his career at Wells as a design engineer and later transitioned to BIM Manager. As Director of Technology Integration, he is overseeing Wells’ newly established Technology Integration team, working closely with Wells’ Construction and Engineering leads to ensure seamless operations and a consistent client experience across Wells’ divisions and regions.

Chief Executive Officer

Dan was named Chief Executive Officer in 2011. He is responsible for all phases of the organization, including six production facilities and multiple in-house field crews along with Operations, Sales & Marketing, Corporate Services and Product Development. Dan has served in various leadership capacities with the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) and as Chairman in 2017.

Vice President of Facades

As Vice President of Facades, Dan applies his comprehensive background in preconstruction, estimating, sales, product development and project management to work collaboratively with industry partners implementing new facade designs — effectively changing building envelope design and construction. He applies an understanding of construction materials and methods to help design partners transition concepts to complete building solutions. Dan graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a bachelor’s degree in construction management and minor in business administration and has an AAS degree in Architectural Drafting from South Central College. He is an experienced project manager with a demonstrated history in the construction industry and received his product management certification from Northwestern University in 2021.

Vice President of Product Development

Doug has been with Wells since 2019 and recently became the Vice President of Product Development. Doug is responsible for creating effective solutions for our partners and overseeing the development life cycle. He has over 25 years in the pre-cast/prestress industry.

Product Development Architect

Ed is a registered architect and has worked in commercial architecture since 1996. He brings a comprehensive understanding of building systems and the latest industry advancements. In his current role, Ed works within the product development team, helping enhance our existing products and navigate new building solutions for the organization. Ed is a Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC) through the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), a member of AIA, and has a master’s degree in architecture from Syracuse University.

Corporate Technical Trainer

Jen started at Wells in 2018, with a career that has been focused on internal training for nearly a decade. In her role as corporate technical trainer for Wells, she is a dynamic force in supporting team members' professional development, leveraging her abilities in interdepartmental collaboration. Jen excels at conveying information across various learning modalities, always maintaining a compassionate and positive attitude. With a strong commitment to empowerment and growth, Jen plays a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative and thriving corporate culture at Wells.

Kimberly was named the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer in 2021. She is responsible for leading our facades team, new product development, and marketing and communications – identifying opportunities to drive out inefficiency in the build process to better serve our partners. She has over 20 years of marketing and business leadership experience.

As vice president of marketing, MK develops national marketing strategies for Wells. With almost 15 years of her career focused on the design and construction industry, she understands the challenges of design and construction professionals in the built environment and the best strategies for increasing brand visibility and awareness. She brings a passion for marketing strategy and design, actively developing Wells’ product growth initiatives, marketing programs, and communications.

President, Wells Development

As president of Wells Development, Mike leads real estate strategy, collaborating with developers to understand the needs of the real estate market to develop a portfolio of development opportunities. He has been with Wells for more than 31 years, most recently as Mountain States president, and brings over 15 years of experience in real estate.

Sustainability Manager

As sustainability manager, Rick leverages over 30 years of experience in the chemical, precast, and materials industries to drive environmental initiatives at Wells. With a background in quality management, process improvement, and mix design optimization, Rick has gained a comprehensive understanding of sustainability through roles in materials management and continuous improvement. Known for his collaborative approach, Rick fosters company-wide awareness of the interdependence of manufacturing practices and sustainable goals in this role to support Wells’ commitment to environmental stewardship.

Senior Vice President | CFO

Ryan joined Wells in 2011 and was named Chief Financial Officer in 2013. He focuses much of his effort on centralizing the accounting and finance functions of the company, and recently migrated two separate companies to one legal entity. He also focuses on labor efficiency and lean initiative in the production environment.

Vice President of Technology

As the Director of IT for Wells, Ted oversees the strategic alignment of technology with business goals, fosters innovation and provides IT team leadership essential for driving organizational success. He began his career working for a vendor assisting Wells with its growing technology needs while earning his Bachelor of Science degree at MNSU-Mankato. In 2000, he accepted a position as the company’s very first IT employee. Since then, Ted has continued to lead the company’s expanding IT department with a commitment to excellence, navigating through periods of significant company growth and organizational transformation.
