The fire station project is in full swing! The precast panels are being set and they are anticipated to be done and in position in four weeks. The project has been in the works for more than 10 years. The department has been operating out of city hall for the past 50 years but found that space to be too small for their needs. The new facility allows more space for the fire rescue team to do their job and includes a training room.
The new building will give the department more than double the amount of space they have to operate in with an office space, training rooms and a specific gear room with ventilation that falls in line with the department’s cancer reduction program. Firefighters should be able to move in to the new location in early spring 2020.
Wells is currently producing and erecting nearly 50,000 sq. ft. of precast concrete for this project. The exterior façade showcases a beautiful mix of thin brick and formliners. The interior of this total precast building is supported with precast columns, beams, double tees, hollowcore and structural wall panels.
|Beam Inverted T||351||5|
|Double Tee 12” x 10’||17,291||48|
|Wall Architectural Insulated 12” x 10’ (6-3-3)||24,810||133|
|Wall Structural Solid||1,910||15|
